Fuel pump is accessed under the rear seats. It's on the driver side. There's a guide over on My.IS on the specific steps needed to replace the pump with a walbro. Make sure you get the right one too. You need the GSS342. The 341 is an identical pump but the inlet is on the opposite side. The ebay seller sent me the wrong pump the first time around lol.

Keep in mind, if you're running a piggy back with larger injectors...your fuel gauge will be inaccurate. The ecu calculates the fuel consumption based on the fuel injector duty cycle. It calculates based of factory fuel injector size. There are some ways around this, but it's not really a sure fire way. The only proven solution is to use a standalone. I ran out of gas a few times a while back lol. The needle still said i had more than 1/4 tank, but I was stranded on the side of the highway lol. Good thing I carry a 1gal tank of gas for these situations But now I no longer need to since I run a standalone and the fuel gauge is spot on.

Also, one other thing....are you running a fuel return line and rising rate regulator? I'm assuming you are if you plan to run bigger injectors and boosting. That's a whole nother project to tackle. Not hard, but you just have to source all the little parts and fittings. Make sure you get the right ones too or else you will spring a leak, and it's not good to be leaking fuel in the engine bay lol.

are you running full standalone? or are you running the AEM piggyback to the OEM ECU? Do you have any tips/pics on modifying the factory fuel pump housing for adding a return line? I am about to tackle this modification and I'm not 100% sure where to start

Well, if I have time. I can take apart my fuel pump assembly. Maybe that will help you guys out. Won't promise anything since I'm gonna be pretty busy next week. But I will make a DIY guide eventually for you guys that plan to boost and need an upgraded fuel system.

Jeff is right on the walbro pump, you want to use GSS342-400-765 (install kit with it).I also used the thread from my.is, it was very helpful.

My fuel gauge is actually not off then again I always fill up before I hit the 1/4 tank but it seems to be accurate.

i have a couple of pictures from when I did mine but its nothing special. I'll see if I post them up also.

adding a fuel pump does NOT throw your fuel gauge off. You will have to mess with other things to do that, such as tuning piggyback via MAF.

Sorry for the error. Let me clarify...Adding a fuel pump alone will not mess with your gauge. Even if you run a piggyback to increase fuel on the STOCK injectors it will be ok. It's only when you start using bigger injectors where the gauge will start getting screwy.

Let's face it though, the stock pump is enough to drive probably 350cc injectors if not more. BTW...the stock injectors are 270cc. So what is anyones reasoning to upgrade to a more powerful pump if they're gonna be sticking with the stock injectors

That's why I erroneously said putting a pump in will throw off the gas gauge...because I automatically assumed whoever is gonna do it is most likely upgrading the injectors as well

I ran 370cc's injectors with my stock pump and was fine.

Meaning that the stock pump can supply enough fuel to 370cc injectors
