Default Anyone try intakes from ebay

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/06-07...spagenameZWDVW

i mean intake is an intake esp a short ram, (i've had injens's aems, and a few other ones for previous cars) which required more bending for cold air . but the ones on the IS 250/350 is more like a short ram which requires little to no design and the pipe is basically straight. In theory i hope no one would a pvc pipe from home depot will yield similar results +/- 20% (if 10hp out of a inject than im stating proably this knock off will get at least 8hp) or more than $150+ brand names. (im not doing this just trying to make a statement on the simple design) esp if they use the same K&N filter @ the end of the tube.

I know the entire agrument of why are you putting a cheap intake (non name brand on a 40k+ car blah blah) lets ignore that one for a 2nd as some of you even have gone w/ joe-z intakes which is nothing more than a pipe which cost 100+ bucks with a hole for the sensors. I'm not trying to rip on the Joe-Z intake or anything just trying to see what everyones thought's are. ok the K&N typhoon does offer a heat sheild but wooo~ its still a short ram.

Hell even dyno's showed not much or all about the same in hp. temp. and dyno conditions probably affected the results more.

the one mentioned is $70 which could be up to 1/2.
Again im not saying im going to purchase this just wanted everyones opinion with out getting flamed

I've never been too fond of buying any kind of performance parts on ebay, but that intake looks ok except the location of the MAF sensor might be a problem.

I think you can move the filter to the other side, then MAF should look about right and the lil tube thing.

I agree never thought of buying ebay performance parts unless it known brand.
