I think that ndk83 was refering to the stock manifolds being purpose built for the IS350 and then used on the 250s regardless. That's been my theory for some time now. I am not having much luck with the AWD version but am looking into a solution.

Maybe my ECU rejected the headers after a while, and started running too lean. On my dyno charts the AFR looked good. But, I obviously wasnt misfireing at the time of the dyno. I can say, I felt a difference with the headers. I installed the headers and uninstalled them three times. The first time I didnt notice an increase, I think it just took the car some time to get used to the headers. The other times I felt the increase right away.

I am currently interested in installing my headers onto another 350. I just need someone to commit to it. I have been in PM's with someone on this thread. I hope to eventualy install them on his car.

I would buy them for you if i didnt have an 08 model.

Erikbakers dyno results are here-

https://www.clublexus.com/forums/sho...&postcount=632

The results are completely unreliable however since the "stock" plot is obviously not valid (hp and torque do not cross at 5250 as physics requires them to)

They do cross at 5250 on the "after" graph but given both are from the same dyno we can't really trust either result...

I vaguely recall the dyno flat out broke right after one of these pulls so it was certainly already unreliable during the pull.... I think this was the "stock" one, done on a different stock IS350, as EB didn't dyno his own car before the headers (which makes comparing them even less usefull).

So no offense at all intended to EB, but his results can't really be counted as proving any specific gains at all given the dyno problems and the fact we're not even comparing the same car

The dyno broke after the other 350 that is true.

I did however eventualy dyno my car after removing the headers. This was done on the same dyno so take it for what its worth.

The graph is a little off on the first dyno, but the numbers, I was told are acurite. It is just the location on the graph that was off. The guy owes me another dyno pull because of this. Check out post #790, that what I came up with after all this...

I have a bit less miles then you on the headers but no CEL.

How do you know it is related to the headers? Did you read the code. I guess my point is that it could be some other problem that is not related with the headers.

Resetting the ECU to clear a DTC without first pulling the DTC code is an irresponsible thing to do.

Now that you've already cleared the ECU, you need to wait until it comes back, then pull the DTC code with an OBDII scan tool (Free service at AutoZone).

So I guess these headers failed? I haven't heard anything about these for a while now. I still want the first gen headers for the tq though
