hp and torque are directly related. You also have to remember that you can't always believe everything you hear or see on the internet.

Update.. Finished exhaust. I did go with an X-pipe after all. And 2.5 " pipe. Not to tread jump to much It got rid of all the dead spots in the power band. Butt dyno doesn't feel much change. It is just alot smoother through the rpm's. And sound awesome.

what components did you go with for the exhaust?

I had my 2 secondary cats removed, 2.5" piping all the way through, magnaflow x-pipe and magnaflow mufflers.

Jeremy , what is your (if any) experience with Nitrous Express systems? A lot of my friends have their setup and like your zex system it seems to be well respect. I mostly ask this question because I get it so cheap thru my friends ss trailblazer sponsorship.

A NX Kit is a great kit. Just make sure they have a kit with fuel psi rating in the 50-60 psi range. I went with the Zex because it has a TP sensor wire. On our cars this is a must. I actually like other kits better than Zex, But the easy install sold me.

My Z06 would break loose in 2nd gear and it just had a little over 400 hp. A friend's Viper was stock and would easily break loose in 3rd gear while getting on the highway and it was only 500hp car. I don't remember what the tq #s were on these cars but were very close if not the same.

I had it wrong. The thing is that HP really has nothing to do with breaking tires loose. Thrust (from torque) is what causes tires to break loose. After thinking about it, it is obvious that a 50 shot at 2000 RPMs could easily break the tires loose since it would be increasing torque by 150+ ft-lbs.

It could if you sprayed at low RPMs. You have to consider that the N2O system delivers a constant amount of fuel and N2O regardless of RPM. That means that the concentration of N2O in the intake charge goes down as RPMs rise. The motor would probably blow up in an instant if you sprayed while at idle in neutral.

Here is a little food for thought. Fuel cut at revlimiter, But you still have fuel and N20 spraying. Motor over revs. and spin bearings. Or floats valves. This would be more likly to happen in neutral.

Jeremy you going to utilize a window switch to ensure the N20 stops spraying before hitting the rev limiter?
