Alot of people on here have them and I really haven't heard of them having any problems. The performance is supposed to have the same result as the PI TC. I think the PI TC is a bit lighter than the Lextreme one.

Some of my plans have changed and I'm planning/have one of the Lextreme TC's. Oops, I didn't say that did I. I do know that if you have any problem with the Lextremem product they are very helpful in coming up with a resolution.

i got a lextreme tc, picked up brand new from a cl member, upon install my car was shaking bad at idle, or in neutral, they replaced it gave my $$ back,(the cl member was really helpful i love this community!) but i ended up putting a PI tc, and losing 600$ in labor and like a months time

in short lextreme tc are basically rebuild old stock TC and it wasn't balanced right, PI are new to start with, you might save 200$ or so in the start but you take a risk..if i was in your place i would get the PI TC, and offcourse you need the tranny cooler with the after market TC

I think the JPI TC's are the same as the Lextreme, rebuilt ones. Maybe from lextreme? Either way, I have one and so far no problems

i have the pi dragon and it works gr8. if u go to their site you will see that there roduct is a specifically enginered tc smaller and lighter and better than a rebuilt modified stock converter.the car idles fine drives well under the 2400 stall but when i step on it it is a beast, and it performs well off the line a mid rll and at 120 mph, by far the best mod on my car 2001 ltuned , trd sways , srt with chip18 inch ozs. now the car is truley wicked.

Have you had a "check engine" light come on w/ your GS430?

no . nocheck engine light problems, i had it installed professionally, buy guys who called pi and carson toyota ( from whom i purchased it for proper installation procedures. pi will even change the stall speed free of charge if you need a higher or lower speed because of other mods to the car. also as to the suggestion for a tranny cooleri was assurred that it was not needed unless i was running fi at the track,. ive been pounding on it all summer and the fluid is still perfect. all in all like the ltuned steering ecu this shuldve been in the stock car.
