I need your help in deciding what to do with a used PI TC (2800 stall speed). I was forced to take this torque converter out of my car due to a loose bearing (so I have been told). Either way, it was not working properly, and instead of having a dead car for a week, I decided to put my factory TC back in. Seeing as how the PI TC is still under warranty, I plan on shipping it in and haveing it fixed...once returned, I plan on selling it.
Here are my questions:
1) What would be a good price to ask for a reconditioned TC?
2) If PI decided to replace the TC with a brand new one, what price should I ask?
3) PI has given me the option to purchase a new TC for $200 without them even looking at my old one...would this be worth paying if they are going to recondition the one I have?
Any help would be appreciated.
BTW, for those who are thinking about purchasing a TC, do it. Most people give reviews about how nice a high stall TC feels when installed, but I can vouch for the other way around. My GS seemed to have SOOO much more low end power (torque) with the PI TC installed. It's not the same without it.

To make a long story short, it was much more cost effective to sell this TC. I could not handle being without my car for a week (the time it takes to recondition the TC) and it cost $400 a pop to have a TC taken out and reinstalled. I didn't want to spend $800 on that...it would rather live without the TC.
Secondly, the dealership told me my low idle was caused by the TC (which I know is BS). Now I can take my car back and MAKE them fix it under warranty.
