car is bogging and cel light blinking
today the car starts bogging and struggling to go when giving gas. while im driving the engine light starts blinking. ive never had that happen before, im not sure if it's not getting enough fuel or misfiring because of bad spark plugs. but i had all my spark plugs replaced when they installed my turbo.
im running a stock motor with 7psi of boost and safacII.
2mm hg and arp head studs on the way and i-manage as well.
when i was searching the is forums, some guy had there engine washed and caused the same problem because of water getting in his spark plugs. His car started bogging and check engine light blinking, but i didnt get my engine washed.
could there be any way of oil getting in the spark plugs?
help pls

ive had the turbo maybe 3-4 months and less than 500 miles on the turbo. im just running the safac and will be replaceing it with the imanage, i will only run the imanage byitself and sell the safac.
yeah its still doing it, i reseted the ecu, pulled the fuse and unplugged the neg battery for over half and hr. i usually reset the ecu when it starts to bog and it will work fine again but now afte ri reset the ecu nothing still the same bogging and struggling
I had this problem a while back. I gunned the hell out of it one time and the stock ecu screwed up the fuel trims biiiig time. Most likely went into limp mode or something. I thought I blew the motor or some piston rings because of how bad the car was running. The whole car was shaking really bad and it struggled to hold idle. I did numerous resetting of the ecu with no avail. After about 2 days of the car sitting in the garage and me removing and reinstalling every part to see what was wrong...I decided to retune the car. Well, turns out the stock ecu was dumping so much fuel into the motor that it couldn't even hold idle lol. My air fuel gauge was telling me the motor was running lean, but when the engine misfires...it will usually read lean but in reality it is very rich. Anyways, I retuned it all back to a leaner setting and went for a runs down the street to finish tuning. After that, the car had no more problems. I find that the stock ecu tends to whack out the fuel trims when you drive the car really hard. That's why I just pulled all my o2 sensors to prevent the ecu from altering the fuel trims
Hope you can get your problem resolved asap.

Welcome to the world of fighting with your ECU for control.
Yup, its going into limp mode and its doing fuel cut. Resetting the computer use to get me out of that limp mode that it goes into, but as Jeff stated its going to continue doing it. What use to save me was the ESC would go into open loop the moment i punched it. Sometimes it corrected itself, the other times i had to reset the ecu. On Tuesday I had the same problem and since i just passed inspection
I decide to pull all my 02 sensors. The car has been running great since i did that.

i check my spark plug wire and for some reason there was oil around the wires. i was searching and this is what i found
"A spark plug shorted by excessive oil entering the combustion chamber is shown below. This is often caused by piston rings or cylinder walls that are badly worn. Oil may also be pulled into the chamber because of excessive clearance in the valve stem guides, or badly worn valve stem seals. If the PCV valve is plugged or inoperative, it can cause a buildup of crankcase pressure. This condition can force oil and oil vapors past the rings and valve guides into the combustion chamber".
