Spark Plugs
I just noticed today at 40k maintenance it says to replace plugs, looks like they are dealer only at $27 apiece. Has anybody reached 40K and had these replaced , It appears these need to be replaced to maintain emissions. warranty
Sounds like BS to me. Check your owners manual. Spark plugs should last at least 80 miles and beyond. 27.00 each is rip off.
I'm sure they're Denso's or NGK's or something similar...the plugs are top center right under the engine cover. Pull the coil packs, pull the plugs, in and out probably 15 minutes total...definitely an easy job.
It is definitely in the manual to replace the plugs at 40k. I infact spoke to a Disrict Service Manager fro Lexus and although he was surprised he confirmed that it is a fact. I would opt to replace them myself for a lot cheaper.

Sorry I Did not see your post sooner . Plug removal is straightforward, remove plastic cover on top, I used a long extension 10” to 12”, just make sure use electrical tape to secure Socket. Make sure you number the wires 1-4 (left to right) facing motor, disconnecting the coils helps. Luckily the plugs are now aftermarket @15.88 each (Rockauto) NGK 91961Original OEM l wouldn’t use anything else. Pm me if you have any other questions. I also installed Techstream on my laptop so that I can Put my rear Pads into sevice mode for Replacement. Good luck☘️
I purchased the software from seller capital_auto on amazon . The software is needed to put the rear pads into service mode https://media-cf.assets-cdk.com/team...TG_Outline.pdf
