Heh, thats what I guessed

Just run it right off the header without the cats...lol
I mean you're on a racetrack so it should be legal to do so

I was gonna guess straight through pipes after the headers with universal muffler without cats and resonators. Sounds like my nephew's car...he got that setup.

You can hear him a block away!!

haha WOW,
yes its a 300.
i would take off the cats but they are welded onto the manifold, theres 3 of them in total.
i just have to get a performance header and call it a day

Did you feel any increase or loss of power by removing the exhaust? I pulled off my mufflers yesterday just to see how it would sound and if there was any speed difference. It didn't really feel any faster but the exhaust tone was nice and deep, and not too loud either.

if mufflers are off, there is still the two resonators plus the 3 cats.
i used my butt dyno that day.
i felt a loss of power at all rpm's i think.
so i don't recommend it

heres something kinda related..

if you disconnect the cat right off the header... wont that be bad for the motor? a local exhaust shop told me its not good to drive the car if you had no resistance in the exhaust. correct me if i'm wrong please.

w/ my old car (2001 celica) i had a cutout after the header, before the first cat. CRAZY lost of power n/a. mostly did it for fun and thought it would be interesting to run it with nitrous (but never came around to spraying w/ cutout open).

so will it lead to possible motor damage if you leave the exhaust open after headers?

I got my resonators and mufflers removed last week
Just two pipes to the back after the 3rd cat. Man it's loud, but it sounds mean as hell...hehe

I'm getting ready for my turbo setup so I'm freeing up some flow back there

thats cool! no resonators is too loud for me on the street tho

i dont think its damaging, but the loss of backpressure affects the power curve somehow
