I want to say vertex but to be sure, I think its in his sig. Why do you want to put an intercoller in? Just to get it in for later or are you going to plumb it up to be functional?

There is no point, unless you want to restrict airflow to your radiator and have your car run hotter. Because thats all your doing. I did it on my mustang to get it mocked up just before installing a turbo kit. But I would not put it in unless you boosting soon.

A similar design is the aftercooler/intercooler (depending on design of supercharger) which cools the air sucked in my a supercharger. Some designs use an Air to Air design and others use a Air to Water charge where the intake air is cooled by a ducting with cool water inside.
Hope this clears it up. Moral is, an Intercooler on a naturally aspirated engine is just, well useless. You will only need an intercooler on a Forced Induction engine.
