Well haha, dont hate but 3 years ago i orded a ebay turbo kit for a engine i had on a stand in my room.
and the otherday i went over to my friends house where i had the turbo kit and me and him ripped apart his house and couldn't find it. I was gonna just hrow thison my car and just not let it spool until i had enough money to buy a real turbo. Well since we couldn't find it he had two turbo lying around that wern't being used. One was a gt37 and the other was a gt4202r so what should i do go big and just abe safe or stick with the smaller one so i would not have to build up my motor and get a ems. What should i do he is helping me out with a cheap price the 42 is never installed the 37 was for a little while.

Are you NA-t? What size injectors are you running? What kind of back housing do both have? Are you looking for a highway machine with big boost?
Pole Position
You could run either with a draw through and low boost and be ok, but the 4202 wouldn't be much fun at low boost; lag and a short, narrow powerband.
I'd never condone doing something half-assed while you wait to be able to afford a "real" anything. Its just trouble, believe me.

dsm ftl... maybe if its a 6 bolt. lol.
i say save up for a real turbo. those will be way too big to be any fun in the street. you wont have much usable fun rpm. it will be lag, then boost, the redline. in that sequence and very fast.

I thought that engine looked like a DSM my homie just finished building one and man those things are pretty mean. But I would go with what most of the other guys are saying just wait and get the right turbo or else you might regret it...GLOriginally Posted by 5sp_jzz30
