First I want to thank Forrest & Ben at Exact Performance, they really took care of my car when I was in MO,and told me about this site . However,I've relocated to GA (ATL) and am in need of someone to work on my 98' GS300 with a SRT-cold air intake. Reason? Check eng light, code reader shows 2 codes, 1. 0172, bank 1, 2. 0172, bank1 pd (pending). Dealer can't find anything wrong with anything . O2 sensors,hoses,ambient outside temp, evrythings fine. Replaced plugs. Wiring for new ECU resoded per SRT specs. SRT said if I bring the car to Maryland they would figure it out(500 mile drive). With Georgia emission testing ,I was able to drive it 200 miles after resetting the ecu for a good reading on the states testing, and get my tags. Can anyone help me? I can erase the codes with my reader,but after driving for a bit, check eng returns, performance is lousy. Some days I can drive it all day without the chk eng light coming on, others not. Also,I want to thank Scott, for all he has done . I'm in desperate need of help and info!!

the only thing that i can tell u if ur getting codes for ur o2 sensers and u get the codes to erase by resseting ur ecu, or using an obd11 scanner to erase the codes than it got to be the senser itself, the way i found out i was burning more fuel than i normally did i hope this helps.

 

Thanks 4 the heads up ! The dealer replaced all the o2 sensors, found out nothing wrong with them, put the old ones back on.
did not want to throw money away for nothing! They had it last week, same thing, they only got the 172 running rich codes, no other code. Told me don't waste my bucks on the o2's.
