Default Are Automatic Tranys normally a bit jumpy ????

I Just got this car a bit ago and I find the Auto Trany a bit jumpy. In parking lots and just starting out it is quite touchy for sure. It ALSO SEEMS TO DEVELOP A BIT OF SLACK AT SLOW SPEEDS AND THEN SORT OF CATCHES UP AND JUMPS A BIT.

DOES THIS SOUND NORMAL.

THANKS FOR THE FEEDBACK.

what year is it? because there is an ECU tranmission reflash that is free by the dealer. It revolved around autos that seem to be bogging then accelerating when in the most in opportune time.

I noticed this tranny is a bit different from other makes of cars. At first I thought something was wrong but swapped cars with another IS guy and we both noticed how this tranny stays consistent from car to car. It's definitely different than most.

To me the car seems soft in 1st and second and hooks up really well in third. It feels like a good Torque Convertor would make all the difference.

I was wondering if its normal that when u down shift to 2 gear with the e shift it does it hard not as smooth as from 4th to 3rd.

it's possible that it downshifts harder, coz' 2nd gear is really low and it will suddenly put a lot of stress on tranny and has to rev much higher rpm
