Has anyone bored out their throttle body?
i have a 300. i wanna bore the throttle body and of course i would have to get the intake manifold port matched. i dont wanna have idling issue or throw any codes. i just wanna make sure that im in clear before i jump.

I doubt this will result in any significant gains unless you do the full exhaust, intake, header, ECU re-mapping, etc..
Lexus/Totota does a pretty good job of optimizing the throttle bodies sizes on their cars. Guys on the MR2 boards have messed with the T/B and the result is usually a slower and poorer running car. Now, if you're running forced induction, this is a worthwhile mod if you are running tons of boost. This was a popular mod on Hondas a few years ago, but tuners have backed away from doing this on N/A cars.
On a naturally aspirtated car, I would look elsewhere for power gains.
Run some before and after dyno runs- that's the only way you'll know for sure.
The old "gosh, it feels quicker" proves nothing!

It's not worth the labor and money for N/A vehicle. FI is a different story. Usually it will give you better respone but the gain is about 1-3 hp. don't forget if you bore the throttle out, you will have to modify the throttle plate. Again it could run $400-500. Save your money for a Turbo.
