Default Stock 1UZFE...how much can it take?

Hey all,

I was going to post this question my LS forum, but since the GS is more "performance driven" i thought I'd ask here being that I have the same engine:

How much HP can I stock 99 1UZFE engine take without changing the injectors, fuel pump etc.?

How much could it take after upgrading the injectors and fuel pump?
--How much would this cost?

Looking at some 400-500hp GS400's, I am just curious, how much would I have to spend (engine alone), to make it ready for that kind of power?

Thanks,

-Jason

8 psi about 370 to 380 rwhp
Supported Claim:
* Lextreme 8 psi yield 325 rwhp with bad rings and no tuning stock everthing (90 LD400)
* Chrisman 8 psi yield 370 rwhp stock everthing (92 SC400)
* AAP TT SC430 15 psi yield 605 rwhp (2003 SC430) Not stock fuel or computer

If I'm not mistaken Mr. Johnson runs on 8.5 psi with 425 rwhp without any problems. Hopefully he can confirm.

And this is on a stock motor!? How stressful is this on the motor its-self, and how much would it cost me to "safely" obtain this motor reliablity and life?

Say for example, I wanted to use NOS (not that I would, I never would do that to it), but if I did, what would I have to do to the engine to safely do this, and how much would that cost me?

Thanks.

your not going to push 400 to 500 rwhp with stock injectors and pump.......and your not going to safely push over 8 or 9 lbs on stock internals without risk.

turbo pimp, I too am interested in the limits of the engine itself, how did you come up with the 8-9 psi limit on the interenals?

why not NOS? its the cheapest way to get a low et.if you dont want to stress the car all the time. nos wouldnt cause anymore stress then if you FI the car.NOS is only dangerous in a noobs hand. i have seen gs300 do 13's with just 75 shot spray.
