Default 880cc inj and AFC

#1 well im in the process of finishing my build (im not putting it in myself) and i have a question. I have 880cc injectors going on my T70 2jz and i was told i needed a AFC. Is this true? because i been reading that a AFC is not needed if i go about 50% more then the stock injectors.

#2 i have a walbro fuel pump i just bought and is that going to be enough for the 880cc? ive searched and see people running duel walbro and others fuel pumps

I have tired searching already but im sure someone will find it right away. any help is appreciated.

are you asking if you need an afc? you most definately need more than an afc.
even if you are using a US spec ecu GTE which is programmed for 550's you are still above 50%.
plus when you trim -50% out with an afc you are going to hurt your timing big time.
If you dont want to get a better piggyback or standalone you should try and swap those injectors.

the AFC i have is a apexi S-AFC. well i didnt know it would mess up the timing i figure i would just be feeding to much fuel. I hate being new to stuff! what would be a good size injector for a max of 450 hp

Get some 550's and then use a AFC. Once you have the money, then buy an AEM and put those injectors back in. That's what I am going to do.

Im running the old school S-AFC, HKS VPC W/440 chip, with RC Engineering 440 injectors.

I put down 436 WHP. I added Meth/H2O medium single nozzle and turned up the boost a bit. No new dyno yet. But for 400 hp with AFC go with 440s. Think 1 HP per CC for a 2Jz. It seems to come close to realistic performance. From what I read at the WHP I am at my injectors are at 100% duty cycle when im at full boost. However I do have to pull a lot of fuel so im guessing if I wanted to risk it I can go much higher WHP on these 440s and just pull less fuel. But then you risk catastrophic failure.

I currently have my AFC set at -35% all across low throttle and -30% all across hi throttle. That setting keeps my AFRs at 14.7 at idel when warmed up and 12.5 at full boost around 20 PSI. and no Check Engine Light. I’m going stand alone soon and will be selling my whole setup.

Im no expert but I would believe what AliSC & some of the other guys here told you. 880s are too much for S-AFC. Not to disagree with meangreen but even with 550s you'll be pulling more than -40% fuel out of your map.

Also remember if you go over 400 WHP you’ll need to invest in other things like clutch, trans, HG, and engine management to name a few things.
