It's been mentioned here that I should get TC, which one should I look for? Will the change in shifting take away the luxury espect. I like the fact that this car is smooth as silk.

thanks!
well Andy from a 300 perspective i used to have the weapon-r intake and replace it with the SRT and i did notice a nice increase overall. its nothing to write home about but the higher end power is much better than stock and the Weapon-r. the sound is amazing.....the ecu does give u a little more out of each gear i think...overall i've been very pleased with this intake. but i don't think its as loud as it is on a 400...on the 300 its more mean than loud....Andy if u'r not in a hurry to get another intake i'll b selling my chromed Srt and chromed heatshield around late may early june...

IMO, the high stall TC from Precision Industries will NOT diminish the luxury nature of the car, it will ADD more performance to the mix! Car will still be smooth, but will be more "eager" to accelerate. Best way to see the change would be to ride (or drive) a GS that has it if that's possible.

I guess I'm in search of a modded GS in Chicagoland

LStyle - I see you've already posted in the Chicago Lexus club forum, might want to add to your post that you're looking for someone with this intake. Mr Johnson lives in the area, but his GS400 is SRT supercharged (different kind of loud). He might know of someone though.
LStyle, if I were in real estate taking clients around, there's no way I'd put an aftermarket intake like SRT on the car, or aftermarket mufflers for that matter. Your clients want to focus on the properties and areas you're showing them and talking about. Your car will become a total distraction. Realtors should drive quiet boats (Avalon, LS400/430, Cadillac, Mercury Marquis, etc.).
Future, I'm amazed you're switching from K&N FIPK to SRT after the mods you've already done. Frankly I don't get it. Did you tune your car with the K&N and an SAFC? I did and got a nice bump from that (now at about 270 wtq and 258 whp if I recall).
Anyway good luck. Did you go back to stock intake while waiting for your tube for the SRT? If so, it might be difficult to make comparisons. Also, if you didn't tune your car with the K&N FIPK and go to the SRT w/ ECU then I expect you to be pleased with the upgrade!

Yeah, I amaze myself sometimes too!
No, I never tuned my car with an SAFC or had it on a dyno (yet), and yes I do still have the K&N FIPK on the car.
I realize the HP gain from the SRT over the K&N may not be that great, but I just wanted to see what difference the different intake with ECU would make. I like to "experiment" a bit (within reason of course) and see if I can't wring a few more ponies out of the GS. I will also be adding the TM Engineering grounding kit and may change to the Carson Tuned exhaust before I get it dynoed just to see what a NA GS4 can do! I have no illusions about the magnitude of the gains from these mods, so I won't be disappointed when I don't get huge gains. A little here, a little there...
