hey I'm looking to buy an intake to replace my OEM intake. I'm looking for an intake that will make my car loud and also gain some hp.

can anyone tell me about k&n, takeda, injen intakes and which of those would be the best?

i also heard tha JoeZ intake pipe adds hp but it reduces the noise. is there anyway to have a JoeZ intake pipe without the reduction of noise?

The intake setup on the IS doesn't allow for any sound increase like you may hear on other cars, no matter what intake you choose it won't be adding any sound.

 

 

I've had my SRT intake on my is300 since 2006. When it went on, the sound increased dramatically as well as power. Very expensive intake (probably the most expensive on at the time at least) and had the most claimed whp. I never dyno'd it for confirmation, but plenty of other users did.
Get what you want and will make you happy though bro!
