well provided that you can stay with the same gear ratio you have now already, the lsd give you better lauch from stop in most cases, and it helps you pull through curves, etc...
however though, i have to say, in most daily driving, the lsd doesn't really do much
for me, i didn't get the rear end mostly for the lsd. i got it mostly for the higher gear ratio (3.76 instead of my stock 3.2x)

Better traction under power from launch and in curves. Without LSD power goes to the rear wheel with the LEAST traction (bad), and with an LSD the opposite occurs (good).
With the GS300's limited power though, I wouldn't do this mod unless you've done most other mods or plan to go FI.
I could imagine how busy my GS430 trans would be with a 3.76. That thing would be in 5th gear in 2 seconds. With the ulev crap, my car is in a hurry to get to 5th as it is. I wish they made an Ultra High Emissions option
