HKS!!!! Not at my preference!!!!
What's up all....
Installation of the HKS exhaust took place this morning and I' m quite upset.
The exhaust is too damX loud!! Almost sound like the Eisenmann exhaust for my M3.
At least the M3 is a coupe not a sedan. Maybe I should have went with a Borla.
I' m goin to get this takin off the car tomorrow and hope that I could sell it.
Anyone want to trade?? HKS for a Borla??
Peps that's rollin with the HKS, what's your comment or feedback on this exhaust????

Same thing happened to me with a previous car! Borla is good, check out the RMM exhaust too (Rod Millen). Mine is very quiet and looks great! Good luck with your sale-should be no problem if the price is right!
I can't comment on the sound for your GS300, but, I have recently put the HKS on my GS400 and I really really like it. I DON'T want my car sounding like a Flowmaster or Dynomax Mustang, AND IT DOESN'T.
I'm really happy with the sound, mine is a light burble, no drone when at constant speeds, ....it's a sound befitting a Lexus.
Sorry to hear about your situation, perhaps you could get sound bites from someone at thsi site......

Anyway, I have L-Tuned mufflers/tips and love that sound (very similar to Borla).
Anyway, PM me if you want to hook up to compare sounds and maybe even a trade. I'm in Atlanta.

i wish u could have heard the exhaust b4 u got it, always remember one thing, guys r never going 2 say they hate their exhaust so opinions r almost always going 2 b bias....the RMM is a very nice exhaust and the l-tuned and borla r very nice and queit 2....if anything the HKS would b much louder with the gs4 than the gs3 .....well sorry 2 hear u didn't like it but good luck in u'r quest...

Im sorry to hear that. I have the HKS Hiper on my GS400 and happen to like the deep throaty sound. Especially under WOT, the exhaust sound along with the intake is music to my ears. Nonetheless its all personal preference. I can honestly say when I first put in on from the stock system I thought it was on the loud side but after driving it a few more times and receiving thumbs up compliments I quickly got used to it.

Thanks all for the reply and I' ve got the exhaust takin off the car on sunday.
The tip is just too big for my car and I think the Borla oval tips look better on the car.
My exhaust was the HKS hi-power exhaust and is only the rear section, not the cat-back.
How much would I be able to sell this HKS for???
I bought it brand new for $550 shipped.

Yea Seloc is going, I think they had 30 cars last year. We have been having discusisions and planning conversations for some time so Seloc is deifintiely there. We even have reserved space on the Infield.
