Finally got the TC from the recent group buy! Thanks JPI for putting that together and for great service too!
Now to get a cooler and find the time to get the install done...can't wait! Just one question--why purple? Oh well, no one will see it after the install
the purple is for heat indication i believe. if later on the tranny failed, you pulled it apart and the pink/purple is gone, that means there was too much heat inside when it failed. i believe that's the purpose
Interesting, you may be right on the paint-either that or they got a good deal on purple paint...
Man this thing is HEAVY! Very heavy duty appearing and well made. Todd at TM Engineering told me this thing is almost over-engineered and thus the high cost of the unit. I'll post results of course (with some timed runs) after it's installed.
Not sure- when ever time and $$$ permit. The drive down to Carson sucks but it's still worth it. Todd has done many of these TC installs and I want him to do mine!

yeah that makes sense. stuff like these, you wanna do it once and do it right, never want to take it out...
Yeah, install time is at least 6 hours because the tranny has to be dropped.
My next performance mod (lsd being the first) is this too. I think it will probably sit in my garage till next year before I can get it installed as I am sure the $$ to install this will be pretty steep.
