My wife was sitting in her car yesterday at idle and her check engine light suddenly appeared. It is running fine. Any suggestions as to what this could be? is it possibly a code in the computer? I dont want to take it in if I dont need to.

Fill the tank, recently? Check to make sure your gas cap is on tight.

 

I have the same problem. And I have no engine mods. When I took it to the the dealer they said its most likely a bad sensor. But my dealer didn't know which one?? They said for sures its nothing serious.

 

Yeah, My cehck engine light appeared just after a Cold air intake mod. Running excellent...but annoying. Any idea's?

Check the bolts on the Sensor on the intake it might be loose, Btw what intake do you have?.

 

have the same prob. it is most likely one of your oxygen sensors[according to the dealership up here].they want to charge me $270.per sensors in canada,a little over the top I'd have to say.
