so this weird i have had 1st time check light showing P0325 with knock sensor long time back so i took the risk and erased it. But while the light was on i never experienced any performance or mpg problem. After erasing it the engine came back like after 2-3 weeks ..so i was like what should i do..so i erased it again , then the light came back like 3 weeks later. So i am lost as to why after so long gap it keep reappearing .
The thing is that changing the knock sensor is very labour intensive
Also i am thinking can it be something else related to knock sensor like loose wiring or something.
I thought that any check engine light that comes back within a short period of time means that it should be taken care off.
any ideas?? thanks
There is a subharness for the knock sensors that should be replaced at the same time as the sensors themselves. But it is under the intake as well...
Knock sensor codes, as well as some other codes, dont always resurface immediately. A certain criteria has to be met before the code will sell, sometimes the perfect storm of circumstances arent met every time you drive.
I would go ahead and replaced both sensors and the subharness... assuming that is still the same codes you are receiving.
hmm ok so what if i were to keep erasing it for some time. would it create any problem. the dealer is charging like a lot $$$$$. so thats why i am holding it off..
