ok, so got a takeda intake over a week ago, and Trac off & check engine light just came on. I also just got gas 10 mins ago. The cap did not appear loose,... any thoughts??
I got my check engine light on, the gas cap was indeed loose but the light is still on, it's been 3 days. So I have a service appt tomorrow. I think they just need to reset it. But I don't know about your Trac off though. You should bring it to service so they can check the code if it is more than a loose gas cap.

check any vacuum lines that might be loose, check your clamps also and lastly make sure your MAF sensor is installed properly.

I installed my Takeda intake myself the first week I got my car. Never got a check engine light. Though I have heard you have to flash your ecu if you get a code.
Just make sure all your couplings are in their correct positions and secured tight.

Tighten up the gas cap and then reset the code (with a OBT scanner/ phone app) and wait to see if it comes back first as that is the simplest and most obvious thing to rule out.

the hose behind the MAF sensor slid off,... bought a better clamp to prevent it from sliding off again.
This is interesting that other people are having this problem. I started to have this problem as well, but nothing seems to be wrong with the car. I have a Takeda too and at first I had no problems. Maybe like 2 months ago all of sudden my car threw a check engine light and trac off. It would stay on for about 3-6 days then it turned off by it self. Another 2 weeks goes by and then same thing happens. It hasn't happened since and I was going to take it in for service, but since its not on anymore I don't want to waste a trip when nothing seemed wrong.
this problem has come back.......also sometimes like it happened once this week the HDD or something like a CD drive is making a weird noise.....like a fan or something is trying to spin but is dying trying to spin then stops........kind of hard to explain but its coming from the middle console
