I just started modding my car the beginning of this year, and if there's one thing I don't know really anything about and am nervous about messing up, it's exhaust systems. I'm looking for some advice/suggestions on what available products would be the best fit for what I'm looking for. I was quite recently just looking into doing a straight up muffler delete on the stock exhaust, but after further research and witnessing how disappointed people were with the result I'm rethinking it. The last thing I want is to make my Lexus sound cheap and SHlTTY.

It's a 2.0L I4 Turbo. I DO NOT want loud. I want deeper tone(I know, it's a 2.0L I4) with some growl to it. I seriously don't want to make my car obnoxiously loud when stepping on the gas or anything like that. I just want my exhaust sound to be audible. Have a nice, as deep as possible tone. As minimal drone as possible. I see all these g35s, Hondas, and Nissans driving around where I live with these big, ugly mufflers on the back that sound absolutely terrible. That's exactly what I don't want lol

This is my only car (my daily driver) so performance isn't the main priority. The link to my car's build thread is at the bottom.
Exhaust priority list:
1. Tone/sound
2. Appearance
3. Performance Increase

You might get a faster response on the fb group. Honestly I’m in the same boat with you so I’m invested in this, lol. My other car is obnoxious and this is my daily. I want performance, but don’t wanna “fart can” sound.

We usually do an Apexi axle back, but for some that may consider it too loud.

Here. Remark Muffler Version Axleback perfect sound for you and not loud to others. If you want louder just buy a midpipe. This good to start off with.

Just bought the Remark axle-back muffler edition the other week.
Can't wait for it to ship.
I'll post a before and after video on my Build's page when it's finally installed.

Perfect sound for me! So hard to find vids of the muffler version and the delete was a definite pass for me. Thanks 😊
