HERE COMES THE SNOW! LSD vs Open Diff?
Hey guys, were expecting a hell of a lot of snow up here in CT this weekend.
What is better in your opinion? I know the LSD will provide more traction. I've also heard that it can cause unpredictable handling and makes it much easier to break the rear end free in slippery turn. Do the pros outweigh the cons?

LSD will help keep the rear end in the rear since you'll be less likely to lose traction and create instant uncorrectable oversteer. But realistically, any RWD with wide, low profile tires is basically a pig on skates when it comes to that sort of weather. Even with dedicated snow tires (which is the only way you ought to even consider getting the GS on the road).

FWIW: I drove around for two winters on snow tires with one of those being with a LSD. It was a great experience. The car was stable and predictable in the snow and that was only enhanced by the LSD.

what part of CT are you from.........im from New Haven, moved out here to Cali....miss it back home but its ok...im goin back east for school next fall...depends on the way you drive, just dont dip around corners so the back end is prone to come out...good luck! drive safe

oh, if you're experiencing this....
you need to get a new pulley and turn up the boost!
