Hey there my name is chris and i own a gs 400 i went to the track on sat and i ran 14flat on the quater mile i took the front pass and rear seats out and all i have is the dual evo's and the fpik intake. i am talking to this guy who own a chassis shop and he say's he can make them any way i want stainless or coating it
it doesnt matter he can do it but price will be kinda high the name of the shop is jb mods/jose chassis
he told me i would have to leave him my car for 2wks thats how long it will take to make he build 8second race cars and he's good so i think i might try it he doenst know how much hp it will put out but he said 20 hp sounds about right so i just wanted to let u guys know because we all want more power and no one seems to wanna help us v8 owner's in out quest for headers so feel free to hit me up if u have any qestions[SIZE=3]

DaveGS4 and all others:
I met recently with the guy who will be custom designing the header and down pipe for my SC400T project car. Work on this is expected to start within the next 2 weeks. I have sourced an engine as well - 1UZFE to use as the mock guide for my custom header, and exhaust system. This guy is an excellent welder, likes working best with T304 Stainless. If you all are interested, I already asked him if he would be willing to design them, and put them together. His work is first rate, and his prices are reasonable. Let me know.
A point to make- this is not for me to make money, this is to help the Lexus community. I will not need those headers because of my pending turbo project. So, it does not matter to me if you want them or not. This is not for my benefit, but for yours...

If you have the guys contact information, PM me with it and I will call him.
I have no news from the fabricator to report.
As you can see from my above responses I am open to other options. That said, I also know what it takes to build production headers (or production parts of any kind). It is one thing to build a set of pipes on any given car and quite another to put those into production. You must build the jigs accurately so that each set will be a close enough match to fit when they are shipped to someone.
I have experience with another shop. They do production work and build headers for MANY vehicles. They can custom fabricate and laser cut flanges and components. Now, the all of the same design and fitment problems still exist and the cost from this shop will be higher... around $750... but they will be stainless.
Again, the entire goal of this project was to create manifolding that flowed well (the stock parts do NOT) and that will fit in the stock location and use the stock catalysts (GS400 and 1998-2000 LS400 and SC400).
One off manifolds and relocating the cats would be a different effort.
