Err Err Err code on replacement CD changer
Got a 92-96 ES300 6CD changer off ebay & installed. It is still throwing the Error code.
Is there a reset button? Is there a trick to sync it with the head unit?
Nakamichi head unit displays communication with unit in every way and unit makes all the right noises then goes to Err. Please help and thanks in advance.
Does the unit need to be grounded to work? I just tested it laying near the hole for the old one. Thanks

cd changer
I have a cd changer from my 96. I put it in my 92 sc300. So I have the same one you have.
1st make sure the CDs are in correctly (Ive done this when I first used it)
2nd make sure the arrow on the CD cartridge face the arrow on the lid.
3rd with the lid open, feel at the bottom corner inside the lid (8 o clock position?) Its on side closest to tail lights and open portion of trunk its a small little black dot of a button (this is the rest button) I can send a pic of mine once Im home from car show if you need
