Ok so I'm one of the few here that still listen to CDs. I also really don't want to upgrade the factory sound system in my 95 ucf20 cause it sounds really decent. Well everything was fine till a few days ago. I went to change a cd when it suddenly quit working and is only displaying "error 13" on the stereo display. Not only did the changer quit working but it also ate a cartridge full of discs. Is there a easy fix to this? I've tried everything except pulling the changer out of the dash. What is error 13 and can it be fixed ?

 

Is this the Nakamichi or Pioneer branded? The Err 13 for a Nakamichi is an internal mechanical malfunction. In that case you'll need to pull the unit and see if it can be serviced but generally I would say head unit replacement time.

Can you eject the cartridge?
