Trouble finding a braided fuel line for my 1JZ into my SC300
Hey guys so I am almost done building my 1jz in my 95 sc300 5spd
I have come to a problem with the fuel line: I am looking for a braided fuel line (one that comes from underneath the car going to the stock fuel dampener underneath the 1JZ intake manifold..
Already checked driftmotion and they dont have such part to make this work, so my second shot is posting here in hopes of getting pointers tips or help in either finding such part or finding a shop that can custom make one that will last me.
I do have the stock line but it is a bit short so in worse case I may have to extend it but I am not sure how safe or reliable that may turn out..
Thanks again in advance to all my CL peeps in support and help.

i havent looked myself, but is the hose your replacing a hard line or a soft (rubber) line?
hard lines should not be replaced with soft lines, even if theyre steel braided. soft lines and yes even steel braided lines flex/expan/etc and you shouldnt have that where there is supposed to be hard lines.
it wont really hurt anything, im just saying youre not supposed to.
if you do find a place to do it, just make sure whatever hoses and fittings you use are gasoline compatible.

same thing with trans cooler line.
i was specifically referencing a technical article i read bout replacing existing hard FUEL lines with steel braided lines, and that soft line usage should be kept to a minimum.
its not about the rating. i forgot to mention that.
i agree they are rated more than high enough.
but again, its about introducing flex, swell, into a system where there was none/little before.
if one could run hardlines the entire way through, that would be ideal.
a lot of systems are made such that there is as much hardline as possible. except for parts that would vibrate excessively, need to be able to bend (perhaps at sharp angles, etc.)
to be fair/honest, for a street driven/daily vehicle it probably doesnt matter much
its definitely more race oriented...
i just wanted to throw some information out there, kinda like food for thought.
but again, on a dd/non performance aspect, it isnt "too bad"
