RE: 93 SC 300, 5 sp.

Hello, did a search for OEM knock sensor. Is Denso the correct choice? I want to replace with OEM.

Denso made most of the sensors for these cars, so yes. You can buy "OEM" from the dealer but you'd do just as well buying a plug-n-play Denso for SC300's and Supra NA's from any parts dealer. I've used sparkplugs.com or oxygensensors.com. As long as it's the correct Denso part number it doesn't matter where you buy it. Toyota or Lexus will sell you the same thing.

Pretty easy. If you have a 49-State Federal SC300 you'll have two O2 sensors. Replace both at the same time. If you have a Cali-Emissions SC300 or a 1996-00 OBD2 you'll have three sensors but you should only need to replace the first two (which are the same on 49-state and Cali cars). The third is a redundant O2 sensor after the 2nd cat and doesn't affect engine operation.

Your 1993 is the former.

Hope this helps.
