what year is your car and what year are your taillights, usually happens when you use a different year tails that have a different number or brake light bulbs.

well that is the reason then, different number of brake lights. IF your blinkers light up crazy fast like a bulb is out when you turn them on, then it also has a different number of turn light bulbs.

If you don't have hyperblink you just pull the bulb on your cluster for the rear brake lights.
this happens on 95 going to 97 tails, you get the brake light warning, but no hyperblink.
92-94 going to 97 tails I want to say if i remember right they get both the brake light warning and hyperblink.

If you have hyperblink you can fix that and the brake light warning by getting the tail light module from a 97+ car and replace your with the newer one.
Some have done workaround methods of adding or removing bulbs to match the amount that were on the older harness instead but the all around better way is to get the newer tail light module. 95-96 you don't get hyperblink so if you don't have the new module you can just pull the brake warning light, but obviously it wont warn you about brake lights being out anymore.
