Intermittent tail light falure indicator light?
My tail light failure indicator is ocassionally lighting up.
I've had it happen both with the headlights switched on or off.
Finally was able to stop the car while the indicator was still lit and do a walk-around. Everything was O.K.
Has anyone experienced this?

The indicator goes off if a brake light is out even if the pedal isn't depressed. See if you can't get someone behind the car to help (or use a brick or something on the brake pedal).
Yes, I checked all lights: headlights, tail lights, stop lights, backup lights, license plate lights, marker lights, turn signals, trunk-mounted brake lights, hazard lights.
Every bulb on the car is working as far as I can tell.

Well, I finally had a hard failure of a brake light to justfy the indication.
Guess the car is so smart it knew the light was going to fail a month before it actually did.
In the month prior to the brake light failure, I had numerous occassions where the indicator was lit and the brake lights were OK. Every time I drove the car, the indicator would come on after a few minutes, then turn off and back on at several minute intervals throughout my trip. As far as I can tell, the brake light was working 100% of the time until failure.
