Default Window regulator killing me. See pic need HELP

Ok this simple job is starting to make me want to break out the window. Removing the TBAR is giving me fits. I can get the bottom and top left bolts to push back but not the top right one. Please see picture The problem seems to be there is not enough clearance between the back of the bolt and the window. Ive slammed the window to the very top to try and get clearance. Ive even use a screw driver to push the bolt back but it is hitting the window and im afraid it will crack the window. Also, Ive even taken off the white plastic spacer but it still needs about a 1/4 of an inch.

Anyone have any ideas? At this point it seems to be the only solution is to take the window out? Not even sure how to go about that either.

Yes that was a great DIY its the only reason I figured out the connectors to the window were actually bolts but on his write up he says the bolts should come out easily. Im not sure whats going on with mine but the closest I can get is about an 1/8 of an inch and that's with me pushing on the window and my son pushing on the bolt with a screwdriver.

I removed my regulator and I don't recall having any issues with that bolt.

Here is the third page on the DIY writeup. https://www.clublexus.com/forums/sc-...by-step-3.html

Look at IS300Sunny's post. Is that similar to what problem you are having?

Also, you have the window as high as possible, right?

Ive got the window all the way up in fact I slammed it as hard as I could to try and create clearance. IS sunny problem was with the weird bolts that hold the window to the regulator. Looking more and more like im going to have to figure out how to take the window out.

you have to move the motor around and slowly push the bar in, it won't easily come out like the thread stated. I spent a good half hour just trying to get the regulator out when i was at the junkyard.

I was going to ask the same thing. It's because he wanted an immediate answer, or at least, not one buried in another thread of his. I know, I used to do the same thing. The mod's don't really like it though...

The reason for the double post is I was sitting on the ground in the garage and did it with the iphone and couldn't find the other post BUT you guys solved it. When I moved the motor around I was able to twist the bolt out. Reinstall took less that 20 minutes.

The two biggest things to this are realizing the bolts holding the window are in fact 14mm bolts AND as kingshawty pointed out moving the motor around gave me the ability to get that last bolt out.

Now on to the next problem.

Well the thread was still in the same page like 5 threads down from this, I was just curious.

And glad you got the motor out! it's tricky, I have pulled my motors out close to 20+ times, something always went wrong with my drivers side and still not fixed too -_-
