Another Sound From Engine Bay
Hey guys,
So the sound I have been hearing has only been recent like within the month, occasionally.
At op temp, there's a sound that sounds almost like a belt or a pulley. It's not a high pitch sound, not metallic, I would say it sounds like a squeeling rubber muffled a bit. Not a chirping bird, less than that. Maybe like a crying bird...
When I turn the engine off for some minutes and it cools down slightly, noise is gone.
I rev the engine but the sound doesn't change, pretty much stays constant.
I would get a vid, but I'm more than sure you will not hear the sound over everything else.
Does the fan clutch spin at a constant rate? I was suspecting that. I haven't been able to pinpoint the source...

Noise
First take serpentine belt off and check all pullies for play or noise(with car off spin pullies by hand). If all pullies are fairly tight and noise free put the belt back on and start car and take a bar of soap and rub it on both inside an out of belt,if noise goes away replace belt for 40$.
