Default sc300 wont start after overheating!?

So I was just on my way to work. Actually it was my first day at my new job im working on north beach in miami. and i hear a ticking sound and its not very loud so i figured i would check it out when i get to work which was 10 minutes away,i come to the miami east exit. and my sc loses all power and my power steering even goes out......My sc has never given me a single warning before hand..

So i park the sc and call my sister to take me to work cause i cant be late for my FIRST DAY!!?

Later that day I tow my sc home. I check out the engine and find that the skinny radiator hose that runs from the throttle body has hole melted in it. I quickly change out that hose and now my sc is holding radiator fluid again. But my sc still wont start.

I checked the radiator its full, the oil dipstick is still full and still clear no milky fluids,I also check under the oil cap it still looks the same withl no milky fluids. The car still turns over it sounds like a dead battery minus the clicking sound just a smooth turning over sound but no fire up?!?!?!

IM so confused im not sure why my sc wont start? any ideas?
Do i need to restart something in the electronics?

Is said sister hot? Pics or perma-ban.

Well first you need to make sure it's charged, but I hate to say it, sounds like you blew a head gasket and there's no compression.

Even on a low battery, a car with a blown headgasket will turn over easily since there's no compression.

But that's just an educated guess with the information you've given us.

Hope you have a good amount of money or mechanical skill...your head gasket probably just gave up the ghost. rather than oil and coolant mixing it will likely leave the exhaust valves. start it upwith the radiator cap off and and look for white smoke outta the exhaust. also see if it comes out of the radiator. if so see if it has a sweet smell to it

Same topic. Could it be a bad ECT sensor thats preventing the car from starting???? anyone...

I remember reading something a post about a 2 gen gs300 that wouldn't start b/c of a bad ect sensor.

This might only be valid on ob2 sc300's.

You would need access to an OBD2 scanner then look at the readings from the ECT sensor as reads from off to cold start to idle.
Or just take the sensor out and look at it. If it is corroded it is bad.
