Default the never ending SC issues...

SOOO, i've finally got my SC back together... Refurbed the radiator, brand new AC compressor and fresh synthetic oil change (my old oil looked like sludge..not good).

WELL, now the car is REFUSING to put out any heat (Air is ICE cold) and the check engine light comes on... its also running rougher than usual, and the radiator hose looked like it was about to burst when i got back from the first drive since Feb 25th.. Any ideas? Anyone?

IN OTHER SC NEWS: i MIGHT have found a poor sap to buy my SC... for about $700 more than my parents paid for it. (NOT including repairs, but including new tires from day one)

IF i can get the SC sold, i'm seriously considering a 2000 Lincoln LS V8. There's one locally for only $3500, and im really looking at it. HOWEVER, i see no point in paying $30 for unlimited carfax reports, and $25 for ONE is ridiculous!

SO, would anyone with unlimited reports be willing to run one for me??

the Vin of the lincoln is 1LNHM87A5YY897877.

thanks in advance! =)

(NOTE: I LOVE LEXUS AND THE SC!!! I'm not dissing Lexus or SC's in general... i just dont like MY sc. I've had too many things just go wrong with it to keep THIS one. I fully intend to buy another Lexus, if not another SC later on in life. i just dont feel comfortable keeping this one. that is all.)

Good luck with that. I stare at my SC300 Daily. Can't believe it's a 92. I will never get rid of it. I don't think that's a good trade. Lincoln LS for SC. Course....this isn't really a great place to get an opinion to the contrary. What do you want for it incidently?

oh god yes. i think my sc is drop dead gorgeous!... thats why i got taken on it. I know i know, Lexus fanatics wont like anything but a Lexus. no duh. but for the price, im pretty interested in getting rid of a 16yr old car for one half its age. i have to drive the LS first... we'll see.

My sc is pretty good cosmetically, so even thou it has relatively high miles (186k) im asking $5000, because it has brand new tires, a ton of new parts, and (when running) drives like a dream. We'll see if this person who keeps emailing me about the SC actually comes through.

oh boo! thanks anyway thou!

yea, i feel ya bout workin on these cars... this is the sad thing. i really do like my car. im just spooked after being stranded three times in two months of ownership. kinda a bad vibe.

i have a feeling its going to need window reg's, struts, and possibly breaks soon... which i really dont feel like dealing with.

as to buying them, if i was actually car shopping FOR REAL, i would. but im not. if my SC gets fixed, and this potential buyer i have lined up falls through, im going to take my chances with the SC for a while (if i dont like the LS, then im also just gonna stick with the SC).

it all hinges on getting my damn car RUNNING PROPERLY again.

why are you going from bad to worse? The lincoln ls is garbage compare to the sc .I owned one and every day was problems after problems .windows worked when they feel like it, ac worked when it felt like it, cheap drivetrain. nothing really good to say about it from my experience.
