Default High Rev Shift Delay

I floored my car from a stand still and at about 40-60 mph i felt a delay while the gears were shiftn. It sounded like I high rev hummm that last maybe 1-2.5 seconds then as the gears finally shifted my car sort of jerked back and continued to accelerate smoothly. Could this be because my engine wasn't completely warmed up or is it normal? (Stock 92 sc400)

Do a search for the TPS mod on here. There is also a youtube video "how to", basically you can rotate your throttle position sensor (tps) to change how/when your car shifts. I'm not promising this will solve your problem but its worth a shot.

Since he was holding WOT, it could also just be that his (aged) tranny is slipping a bit on the 2-3 shift.
