Default SC400 auto can't shift fast enough?

I have a 92 SC400 with 150 shot of nitrous.

PWR on
OD OFF
Trac OFF
Gear selector in D

I've found that it will hit the limiter on the 1st to 2nd shift. It revs up so fast that it can't seem to shift fast enough!

Has anyone else had this problem? Should I just manual shift it ?

Well how slow after you hit the limiter does it shift? If it's bouncing off the limiter than that's no good. I haven't done this in a while but mine doesn't have a shifting issue. Most of my shifts when I'm driving agressively hit the limit and shift. I hope you're not using the nitrous at that low of gear, that can seriously mess your car up.

As far as I know there is nothing wrong with spraying in first gear.

Koma do you have any mods that will make the motor reach the limiter faster ? If not of course it will shift fine.

Search for sc400 shift kit. There is a well know one made in AU, and at least one other I have seen posted thats made here in the states.

The kits will firm up all the shift points and remove that god-awfull hesitation between the 1-2 shift.

I think SC400T may have the AU one on his car...

i had to same problem when i took my sc400 to the track...i had 150 shot on it and it wouldn't shift at all from 1-2 or else i would pop off the revlimiter alot...so i had to let off the unit and then let off the gas and then get back on the gas when it shifted and get right back on the unit and i still got sideways....and i ran a 13.9@103 with a 2.1 60ft
