Exclamation Is this limp mode?

Some of you may remember, but about a month ago I blew a heater hose which sprayed all over my engine (and wiring harness) and caused the car to not rev above 2k rpm. This was fixed the next day by accelerating up to ~20-25mph and downshifting into 1st so it would rev to about 3k. After the downshift, I could rev the rest of the way up, and it hasn't acted up since. Yesterday I was driving in the rain, and the same thing started happening on the freeway. I checked and I was a little low on coolant so I added some and burped the system. I also tried disconnecting the battery to no avail. I think this may be some kind of limp mode to keep the car from overheating if there is low coolant, but I only added about 3/4 of a liter and its full again. Any help will go most appreciated. Thanks!

So its still doing the same thing. I tried unplugging the battery for longer, and pinching all the vac lines while revving it a little. Should I try adjusting the TPS? I'm about to try driving back home (50 miles) and I think I'm gonna have to go like 40mph on the highway lol. Wish me luck!

Well I just got back and while I was on the highway going like 45, I turned on the radio and it just kinda fixed itself.

I think it might be time to consult with a 1J expert. I know a friend who knows a friend out in South San Francisco who owns a shop called Modified Toys. The drop 1JZs on everything. SCs, Cressidas, MK3s, etc. If you're really interested I can give my friend a call and see what he can do. My other 1J expert lives all the way out in Sacramento. But anyway let me know if you're interested.
