Default Belt ownage version 2.0

Well if you seen my previous thread about my belt ripping on me, it happened again.

I was with my supra buddies cruising and ran into a crew of GTO's and I gunned it a few time and got to a light with them. Hit first and spun, 2nd spun some of it, hit third and bam my battery light comes on. I gave it gas and it was still running and I was so confused. Then I see my temp starting to shoot up like a rocket and I shut off the car and went to the side of the road. Popped my hood and I see my belt hanging off and huge tangled mess all over my fan clutch and coolant coming out of my overflow tank....

This is my 2nd drive belt WTF! I got it back running with whats remaining of the belt, haha. I had to unwrap the unholy tangled mess around the fan clutch, untangle the belt, cut off whatever is hanging off the remaning belt, get it back on the tensioner, around all the pulleys (thanks to the help of my buddy), and it fired up!

So this is my 2nd time it tore up on me and this time was alot worse. Would that mean its time for a new tensioner?

Also would a auto TT tensioner work?

For your viewing pleasures (this time no video of me throwing down massive f-bombs).

wtf is right. I have no idea what is up with your pulleys or tensioners, but clearly something is out of whack.

possibly your battery is sliding into the pulleys and belt and wearing out your belt, it happened to me twice as well, i also happened to get battery acid all over the engine compartment...loads of fun

Check to see if your crank pulley is moving under load. I had that problem and my crank pulley was moving forward under heavy load. Under normal driving it doesn't move. This also cause belt slippage that will eventually wear down the belt.
