Default i got an exhaust shop to help me delete my secondary CAT

so it was time for a new secondary cat, mine was rattling around inside and really annoyed me, i didnt feel like buying a new one but i knew that exhaust shops cant take them out or put a pipe in place of where one was that you removed. I didnt care lol, i cut out the secondary cat and the midpipe attatched to it, then i went to the shop(who has previously told me that they wouldnt help me in any way delete it) and said"help me, my friend cut out something on my exhaust and didnt know what he was doing, i think he just cut out the mid pipe. " they were lazy and didnt take the time to find out how many cats were origionally on the car and they welded me up a midpipe with no CAT. Im happy, i beat the system lol

did you burn a hole in your underbody or your ear drums driving down there without a connected exhaust?

For $300 you'd be able to just buy an EBay header with a midpipe, or well on your way to a nice MVP/Xerd header. I'd do that before I spent $300 on fixing a crack in my stock one.

Better yet, PM Aliga and get a full functional header pipe that you could install yourself for $75 shipped.

he told me $150 plus shipping for just the upper part, of the 6 into 2 section, not including the 2 into 1 section that i actually need, Ive decided to just live with it for a week or two till my 1jz comes in and gets installed

yep, ordered it last wednesday, should be here mid september, and update on this thread, i got everything fixed including the header, my car is extremely quiet now, almost too quiet. the shop also said that they will weld the exhaust from the new motor to my stock exhaust for free since i had all that work done there, when the new motor is in, my car will have no CATs at all
