Where was he "scalded" at?? It was simply pointed out that he bumped a 7yr old thread. Although it was bumped for nothing more than a post count vs. useful information, it didnt need to be bumped up.

The purpose of searching is to track down information that has already been discussed to avoid making a new thread. Usually when posting or bumping a thread, your adding useful information to the topic. For example, someones brakes were soft, never found a solution. Another member had same issue, fixed problem 5 yrs later with a simple fix and a how to..then bump the thread. Or that member may have the same issue and cant find any solution by searching, bump thread to revive interest and gain more information on the topic or start new thread and include the original 5yr old thread link.

Here we have a thread discussing LSx's into the SC chassis. This has been covered and completed already by several members including myself. While Petty2000 didnt really add any technically useful info, bumping the thread with his post was not needed. He could have posted his comment in any one of the LSx swapped build threads, or simply started his own. Hence, he got the response from sj408 and from me. No scalding him, its more of a why was this bumped with no pictures/info/tech response.

There is nothing wrong with bumping an old thread as long as it's not a FS thread that's 10years old lol.

Let's all get along guys !
