NX350 Driver side mirror 'issues'?
I recently got my first Lexus: an NX350 Fsport, and have been thoroughly enjoying it.
I recently noticed that when I use the tilt controls to adjust the driver side mirror, if I hold down on the pad to reach the 'max' tilt in a direction, the mirror makes a sort of snapping motion and resets a bit in the opposite direction, along with a clicking sound. Is this normal? I was going to wait until my first complimentary service next month to ask about it if it's not.
On a side note, is the driver side mirror supposed to be a bit loose? When I drive on the highway it seems to vibrate a bit making the reflection sort of blurry at times.

The door skin is only a few atoms wide (joking of course, for now, but I'm sure it is a goal for all auto manufacturers). Not sure about the NX, but its sibling the RAV4 has the same issue and there was a kit offered to beef up the area inside the door where the mirror attached to secure it more firmly.
My 2015 RX has a shaky driver's mirror and I remember reading a lot about that in the RX forum and I came to the conclusion that that's just a Toyota/Lexus thing. After a while you stop seeing it shake.
Talk to your dealer. There might be fix that involves reinforcing the mirror mount at the door. I believe there is a TSB for this
I took my 2022 NX 350h in for its one year service this morning. Got a 2023 NX 350 as a loaner. As soon as I was on the freeway to drive home, I noticed that the driver side mirror was shaking. It was real obvious and distracting. Never experienced any similar issue on my NX. My NX was built in Japan and the loaner was built in Canada.

This shouldn't be 'Normal!'
To start, these are not cheap vehicles! They should be well made and have the simple stuff figured out down cold! A simple side mirror is not a new technology, neither is power operation or auto dimming. These technologies have been around for decades!! Demand Lexus find a fix, it can't be that complex. Let's use the tools we have at our disposal. Contact dealers, contact Lexus customer service, use the auto safety agencies set up in Canada and USA to voice your concerns. There are many members here that are mentioning drivers side mirrors shaking! Read on with a reply I did on similar mirror post a few weeks ago on this subject:
I have same issue with my driver side mirror on my 2022 NX350h Executive and quite frankly it bothers the heck out of me, it's a huge distraction to catch movement out of the side of my vision as I'm an alert driver. My NX was built in August 2022 in Cambridge Ontario. Please be aware that I believe all 450's are manufactured in Japan for now, check with your drivers door post manufacturer's sticker which states build date and where it was manufactured. I say this because surely those side mirrors would most likely be sourced from a different location in Japan. Also note that driver side mirror is auto dimming while passenger side is not. Just noting some key differences here as it appears the passenger side mirrors don't shake! I'm having same issue with drivers side mirror on...
See my other posts on this issue as well. I had my complete driver side mirror replaced under warranty in January 2023. New mirror still exhibits same issue. Let dealer know right away. Called Lexus customer service as well to tell them of issue. Contacted dealer a few weeks later to see what they've done so far with my issue. They got in touch with Lexus directly and supposedly they will be working on a resolution, how long that will take who knows. The dealership had also just received a demo / loaner 350h Luxury recently when I was there. They took it out to see and it exhibits same issue.
Please note that a dealership is not always your best friend and advocate for things like this. They're out there to make money and constantly working on warranty issues does not pay them well, so they poo poo these things off in hope that you'll go away and not bother them.

As for the side mirror, that is a VERY prevalent issue among many Lexus and Toyota SUV’s. Do a google search for Lexus NX side mirror vibrating and you’ll see loads of pages. There is an official fix for it in the form of a TSB for 2022-23 NX models (at lease in the US). It involves replacing bolts that hold the mirror and installing a new plate to hold the mirror inside the door panel. When you google around, you’ll see there was also a TSB for the Rav4. That one was more labor intensive and required more work inside the door. Personally I haven’t done it yet just because I don’t want them removing door panels and risk damaging or scratching something. But I likely will in the future. It’ll be covered under the warranty. For your reference, the TSB number is L-SB-0058-22.
Thanks so much for the info Lily Tiger on the recent TSB for this. I contacted NHTSA and they provided this link to download the TSB here:

This seems to be only for USA and Mexico markets, but being a Canadian I'm going to show my dealership this and see what happens. As I mention above, I've already had a complete mirror assembly replaced and it didn't help at all. I'll keep you posted on how my next dealership visit goes.
