Anyone add the 2000 lb towing hitch from Lexus? I have this package on my 22 350, but I haven't seen any part number for it yet.

 

Do you mean to say you received your NX with an actual Tow Hitch from Lexus?

 

No, my NX came with a tow package, but no hitch was included. I am asking if anyone has found out what the trailer hitch number is to order.

I had PW960-78005 NX/H/PHV TOW HITCH KIT installed on my 2022 NX450h.

 

I had my hitch installed by U-Haul in Seattle, WA location. Couldn't find a Lexus dealership had one available in the NWP area.
Part & labor about $600... At Lexus its about $1500 quote in Seattle.
(make sure they don't split the wires, it cost extra but it won't void warranty.)
On the U-Haul website make sure you select 2022 since 2023 is too new for the system to know the car hasn't changed.
I'm really happy with it and look forward to using it!

Did you have any problems with the kick sensor? My dealer is claiming that a tow hitch will interfere with the sensor.

 

Mine doesn’t have it equipped and I’m OK with that because they can be so unreliable.

But, if your car is equipped with the kick sensor and you can add a tow package stands to reason that is capable of having a hitch on it?

I was reading the online forms and it doesn’t seem to be a problem. I would talk to two or three people at Lexus that have actually installed it on a kick to open tailgate with tow hitch if that is where you plan to get it installed at.

my U-Haul insulation guy said they didn’t have any problems, so I’d call u-haul and talk to the installation tech. Many Toyotas and Lexus have the option so they should know.

To be clear, the hitch that Lexus installs is different than U-Haul’s, so that might make a difference!?

 

The kick sensor still works. However, the dealership supposedly had to order a new sensor set (8910A-78010) and install it to the left of the receiver.
