Does anyone know what is included in the $160.00 "3,500 LB Towing Capacity" option?

Why, if you get the towing option, are certain other options such as Panoramic View Monitor not available?

Has anyone found or installed a tow hitch on an RX350h that doesn't have the towing option?

 

Actually, don't you also need to have the receiver installed? I don't need to tow, but wanted to install a bump step on the rear trailer hitch to protect the back of the vehicle. But it appears to be a $660 dealer installed option? It wasn't clear to me what is involved with installing the receiver, but I might give up on the idea of a bump step if this is what is involved with installing the hitch. And yes I can't understand why the 3500 pound upgrade negates the pano view option.

 

In Canada every RX comes with Tow package, regardless of what features and options it has.
So the delete "this" to get Tow is just a package that you choose.

 

You mean the basic tow package - the receiver is installed on all of them in Canada? This 3500 pound package is a different upgrade.

 

I am just asking what is included in the $160.00 3500 LB towing Capacity option itself, since I don't see it described on the Lexus website. I understand that the receiver/hitch hardware is separate.
