Does anyone open their NX, get into the driving seat, press the start button and the multimedia system recognises the phone Bluetooth, installs the correct user profile and starts Apple CarPlay?

Mine doesn’t. Am i expecting too much?
Mine doesn't when it detects more than one key fob in the vehicle and in rare cases when it doesn't detect my wallet key fob.
I suffered…and suffered. Ruined my experience with my NX450h. Had no satisfaction from two visits to local dealership. Responses such as “it’s too new to be of help” did not fly with me. I called Lexus corporate…. A case number was set up….and Jill returned my call. She was most empathic and set up an appointment with Service advisor, Ruben Quezada, at Shottenkirk Lexus in Palm Springs. He listened closely, watched my videos….took the car, providing a loaner. Next, he called me in to meet with the nicest, sharpest technician, Eric….for an hour. He stripped everything off of the NX, settings, phone, profile, stations, etc….And kept the NX for two nights. Service advisor called and requested another meeting with Eric. We set everything up together (another hour). Everything works perfectly….for the first time since delivery a few weeks ago. Service advisor called me at night….as a follow up, to be sure all was correct. Called again the next day. The NX has been working perfectly for 5 days now, without a hitch. As an FYI, I use a lot of SiriusXM and Apple CarPlay….I use the phone and take and dictate messages often.
Rubin Quezada’s number is 760.321.5750, if you need help. And technician, Eric, knows the exact, precise fix for your issues. You might have your local service center make contact.
Mine does about 90% of the time. I’ve found that if I put it into drive/reverse too quickly, it fails more often than letting it load before I go into drive/park.
Thanks for the replies. I am having it reset to Factory settings today by the dealer so loping that it will load correctly after that.
One apparent difference between the US and UK is that my UK Lexus software doesn’t give an option of linking the profile to a key fob, only to a smart phone by Bluetooth.
I am having the same issues with mine. I've tried just the fob, credit card fob, and my phone. The seat and steering wheel settings go back to my settings randomly.
I had mine reset to Factory settings yesterday and it was delivered back to me this afternoon. I have since been able to set up my profile, link it to my key (that option was not even on the screen last week) and now when I open the door it welcomes me and loads my profile automatically.
Fingers crossed that this is a permanent solution, but anyone following @Peterun rollercoaster ride on this issue will be nervous of declaring the issue fixed.

Correction: This wasn’t a difference between US and Uk specs. After Factory reset, the linking profile to key fob option appeared and I have successfully used it.🤞
I was having the same issues and it was so frustrating! I found another thread where someone posted some tips that worked for me:
1. They suggested deleting my user profile from the infotainment system and set it up again.
2. They said if you move your seat and it beeps while you are moving it then it won't set up correctly. They said to move the seat all the way forward and all the way back, then recline the seat all the way down. When I did these moves it beeped the entire time. Then I got the seat where I wanted it and saved it on the door setting.
Doing these two things seemed to get everything set up correctly in my profile. Now the car recognizes my profile every time I get in and my seat goes to where I set it.

Any idea what they did ?? This seems to be a common software glitch but some folks say theirs are working fine. I am not yet that frustrated but I may get there by the spring - hopefully they have a new SW version that fixes these annoyances.
So, I did like many here and deleted my profile and added it back. It appears that everything is working correctly now. I am wondering if, when at the dealer, having both key fobs in the car had something to do with the system failing to read your profile.

I hope not… my wife and I will always have our key fobs on us when travelling together. However, when we went out last night and the profile loaded correctly she didn’t have hers on her so maybe you are right..🤔
I am thinking we are all having the same issue because the profile was set when we took delivery of the car and both fobs were present. I will give it a couple of days and give an update. Good luck
Yes... BUT... i had to tweak things a bit. First my seat was not "initialized" from the factory, secondary I cannot have the digital key active, plus a paired key in the car. It freaks out. So I chose to deactivate the digital key. Make sure that in the driver profile that the key is LINKED. this combo factor of things eased up all of my infotainment woes... hope it helps.
