Yes! SkiRockies - that is the "Seat initialization process" as outlined in the manual. Apparently pre-covid days, Lexus shipped that to dealers completed, and so they haven't been doing that on delivery, unaware, or so I was told.
So Catch, assuming that the factory did not complete the “seat initialization process,” how would I do this on my own? Or….must I return a 5th time to service??
Thanks for your help. It’s not something I would have ever thought of on my own.

so I’m told it’s in the manual, but I did have mine in for service and they fixed it there. Now I get in the car and the dash says welcome, I start and the MMI screen says welcome and my profile is loaded. It’s been seamless for almost a week now. Really nice once it’s working. I read your other thread and don’t blame you one bit for being done. New things, esp ones that cost so dang much, should work as advertised. I do really believe it’s a “setting it up” issue and that most dealerships are clueless at this time. Not an excuse at all but my thinking.

After I did the seat initialization, everything saved. The profile still once in a while doesn’t load but there’s possibly an issue with my phone not connecting with Bluetooth too. Unsure what to make of it, it’s not happening often.
Factory technician spent many hours with my NX yesterday. He called me into the service dept a few times yesterday…and ultimately asked to keep my phone stating that they would deliver the phone to me at my home at the end of the work day. I’m impressed with how accommodating they are. My service advisor delivered the phone at 7 pm…. He believes that all is corrected now…except the seat memory. Nice to deal with in that the factory technician is very supportive and non contentious. Hopefully my NX will be ready for prime time by tonight.

There were numerous complete wipe outs of EVERYTHING during two of the last five visits. Factory rep believed that the initial set up by the selling dealership was incorrectly done. No idea. When I gave him my phone for the full day, I realized that just maybe my Apple Watch 7 (which has its own phone number…tied into my hand held phone) might be interfering. Caleb (factory rep) said no to this. I tried…I really tried.
Did a short journey last night and my profile didn’t load. Was on my own with Key Fob and mobile phone.
Short Journey this morning. Again, Profile didn’t load and when I chose my profile in the menu it wanted my Lexus login password.(which I didn’t enter, just drove as guest) I also was alone with the same key fob and phone.
3 hours later I return to the car with the same key fob and mobile phone and when i get in the car it welcomes me by name and loads my profile.
I have decided that I will not go back to my Lexus dealer with this issue as there is no rhyme or reason for it acting this way in the presence of the same phone and key. I will simply be pleased where it does load and wait for the inevitable software update to come from Lexus. I am simply loving the car in the meantime.

But you should complain about it to the dealer. This issue has been around in the Toyota Tundra for months. So any tiny way to increase the pressure to fix this will help. Dealers are sensitive to user ratings so mentioning that this impacts your user satisfaction is something they take note of.
On one hand you are right that the dealer almost certainly can’t do anything about this. It’s a software issue, maybe a sensor issue.

I have written to the dealer today to complain about it (but said I don’t want to raise a warranty ticket on this issue). My reason for not wanting to raise a ticket is that I don’t want the hassle of service visits, loan cars and endless disappointment of things being “fixed” but not fixed. I would rather continue to enjoy what is a superb car.
Also I have yet to fill in their customer satisfaction survey….. I am in no hurry to do so until I know I am fully happy.
We get the message "Profile not loaded" when we get this message our phones will not show that they are connected. The seat or mirrors will not move to our saved locations and our saved radio stations will not show up.. Also, we cannot get the Lexus navigation to save our home, work or favorite locations..... Another issue is the "Wireless connection failed".
We've had the car back to the dealer once with no resolution. I have contacted Lexus corp.
Any suggestions?

mjm….a bit of useful info for you and others:
Once you start that process of returning to a Lexus service center….that detailed history makes it to CarFax…and other sources. Unless your vehicle is lemonized, you’re dead meat when you go to sell your vehicle. If you start the process, be sure to follow thru. My NX450h had a Carvana offer of exactly $50,000 because of its brief, but detailed, service history. That would’ve been a loss of $12,000, not counting tax and plates.
I truly despise interfering with the enthusiasm here….I certainly was one of you a short while ago. I had ordered my NX at least 7 months ago. This entire process was absolutely shameful…sad to say.

Be sure to take videos and pictures of everything. I started recording my visit when I picked up my NX after two nights in the shop. The factory tech had borrowed my phone for a day. I picked up my car and all problems started immediately. The service advisor is on camera. “Would you feel safe trying to undo these screens while driving?” It was the 5th visit…one that marked the end of the saga.
