Delayed headlight auto on
Does anyone know if there is a setting to adjust how soon to auto turn on the headlights when the car enter a dark environment? When I had my Audi, the headlights turn on immediately when I drive into a dark area such as an underpass. The underpass I use often is a block long. With my NX, it doesn't turn on until I reach the end of the underpass, and it immediately turns off.
Odd, mine turns on immediately. On my way to work in the morning I pass under a highway that takes about 3 seconds to pass under the bridge. The lights come on immediately then go off the moment I emerge from the other side. It's all super fast.
Have you tried changing your light sensor sensitivity setting in vehicle settings. I believe mine is still on the default setting, but worth playing with if you aren't happy.

On my '22 350h the auto lighting goes on within a second or 2. I drive through a tunnel under the Welland Canal - St. Lawrence Seaway - regularly and it never hesitates to come on. There is plenty of updated modern lighting within the tunnel too and it hasn't affected it. As Droid13 says, maybe see if you switch the lighting to come on earlier it may be more sensitive.
Go to Settings - Vehicle Customize - Lights - then select Auto On Sensitivity. Here you can adjust when they come on, so moving up towards "Brighter" they will come on in a brighter setting, which should get them to come on quicker in dark lighting scenerios.

I am on the opposite end haha I prefer for the light to turn on after a wile, because I hate when every time you drive under a bridge for a second and the light would turn on for 2 secs and turn off right after, so for me it is just stpd
I go into the tunnel and the light turns on after a good 10 secs or so, then 10 secs later after I exit it turns off, that's how I like it.
The tunnel is light though, so it not like I am driving all the way in total darkness. But yeah there is a light sensitivity settings somewhere that you can adjust for your liking.

YMMV,

When I drove a Q3, as soon as I drive into the underpass, the headlights are on. On the NX, it turns on as I reach the end of the underpass (quite literally when the front bumper exit the underpass). The underpass is dimly lit, but not impossible to see, so it would be nice if the headlights were on.

I drive my 450h+ through several tunnels in the mountains and would like the headlights to come on as soon as I enter the tunnel. The headlights do not switch on for :15 seconds after entering darkness. Going through one of the tunnel takes :14 seconds, so no lights. The maddening feature is that when I arrive home and I am using the screen to back into the garage, the headlights come on and the screen darkens immediately after entering the garage, making it difficult to see the screen to continue backing in. I have experimented with the BRIGHTER to DARKER adjustment but now realize the car may need to be in Drive, Reverse or some other position to cover all possibilities.
I can hear the neighbors now. "Why is he driving and backing in and out of the garage so many times?"

In gear or out, the timing is about :13 seconds regardless of the sensitivity level. I say "about" because the sensitivity level may affect the moment the timing starts. Some tunnels have brighter lights as you enter to help your eyes adjust, then deeper in the tunnel it's darker and thus the timing starts. My headlights come on right at the "Turn on headlights" sign, making me look like a dottering old fool while everyone around me has theirs on already.
