Default Problem reactivation Remote Connect

Just reupped my Remote Connect service after 3 years (Canadian owners don’t get free RC like US customers). Trying to authorize remote connect by scanning code on my screen, but no code comes up. Is there a time delay between paying for the remote connect service and when you can authorize it by scanning the QR code in your car?

Try to reinstall apps on the system and see if that would help. Mine had no issues, but I didn't stop the service.

There's an option in the vehicle software menu that says something like "uninstall apps". Select that and it should give you a new scanning code, or it'll kick start the process to generate a new scanning code.
Let me know if that work. If you can't find it, I can take a picture of where the option is located in their menu.

I have the same problem, and I also uninstalled and reinstalled the app., but it did not work for me.
Uninstalling kicked me out of my subscription, and I had to call Lexus to reconnect my subscription to the car with a strange process of pushing the SOS button, answering the emergency center, and a weird set of functions in my car. But all of these were useless and still have the same problem. At the end, the operator suggested that I have to go to the dealer and ask for their help. I will do that with the latest recall in a few weeks.

Another Lexus fumble here! They really need to do some more homework on this sort of stuff.

Subscription Services are nothing new these days, I'm sure plenty of other brands have this handled much better, on top of this, Lexus is a Luxury brand too! You shouldn't need to be Indiana Jones to figure out this sort of stuff! Hell the dealers are usually scratching their heads on these issues too!

The instructions given to you on the screen are of no help. When it doesn't work you get no instruction on what else to try. Can't you just use a one time code from Manufacturer that was already linked to your VIN when you make purchase, and poof downloaded and accepted, go on your merry way.

Oh no! I had remote connect on my 2022 RAV4 and was very glitchy. Had hopes by now it would be better. The subscription service told me to go to dealership for help, and dealership told me they have nothing to do with the app. Good luck!

Default Problem Solved

Thanks for the input. Tried a day later and still had the same problem. Reloaded the apps and that solved the problem. All my software was up to date but a “reload” was necessary. Strange but it worked. Thanks again.

Just for the record.
I fixed my problem. If you have an Android phone and developer mode is activated, temporarily deactivate it, download your digital key, and reactivate it. Looks like it's interfering with downloading the digital key.
